Bridport business of the month: Rainbow Parties Dorset

By Lottie Welch

23rd Mar 2022 | Local News

At Bridport Nub News we love to highlight local, independent businesses.

This month it is Rainbow Parties Dorset.

The idea came from Emily Taylor to bring joy and happiness to children during the coronavirus pandemic.

She said "It started at the end of December 2020, we were in lockdown and I just thought of the ides because my kids were struggling and I had lots of friends' kids feeling the same and missing out on so much.

"I wanted to create something that they didn't have to leave the house to enjoy, but it would still be an experience they could remember and something positive from staying indoors for so long."

She started with Chase, the blue police dog from PAW Patrol, and it has boomed, growing to the business now having 13 suits.

Emily added: "We have been so busy since starting, we have visited hundreds of parties, pre-schools, schools, care homes and charity fun days."

The team is still constantly adding to its impressive collection of costumes.

"We are going to be offering real life princess visits soon too, which we are so excited about," said Emily. "We also have loads of new hire items becoming available in the next few months."

As well as characters, Rainbow Parties Dorset also offers a range of balloon displays for parties, weddings, baby showers, gender reveals, corporate events and even shop windows.

She added: "My favourite thing to do is the balloon hoops, they are seven feet tall and look amazing at parties."
