An annual Christmas lights display at a home in Bradpole has raised more than £1,000 for charity.

Every year Monica and Rob Teague at 2 White Close put on a spectacular display, with a snow machine, to raise money for charity.

This Christmas Doc Martin star Martin Clunes was the guest of honour at the official switch on in November. There was a brilliant turn out and the crowd enjoyed mulled wine, mince pies and festive treats.

The lights, which were up until January 4, raised £1,050 for Kelly Heath's Weldmar Hospicecare Sahara trek later this year.

Monica said: "Rob and I would like to say a great big thank you to everyone who came to see the illuminations every evening and donated so generously. Special gratitude must go to Martin Clunes who kindly gave his time to do the switch on. We are already planning a theme for next Christmas lights."
