Power has been restored to homes in Walditch.

Many homes in Bridport were without power this morning after a transformer caught fire in the early hours.

More than 200 properties in areas such as Walditch and some in Allington experienced a power cut following the fire.

Power was off for around 12 hours while Western Power Distribution worked to reinstate it.
