Free outdoor activity taster sessions with the Allington Hillbillies

The Allington Hillbillies is launching this season's outdoor activities with a special event this month.

The group, which looks after Allington Hill, Coopers Wood and Field, has received funding from Dorset Council's Community and Culture Project Fund and support from the Co-op Community Fund. This has enabled 20-minute free taster sessions for each activity.

These will include making woodland puppets, outdoor art, parent and toddler group, basic bush craft, poetry and wild writing. These can be booked on arrival and other activities such as the Buzzy Bee project and den building competition are available free for the duration of the event.

Volunteers will be providing refreshments for a small charge.

If any other local community groups would like a stall free of charge to promote its outdoor activities, email [email protected]

The event will take place on Sunday, March 27 from 11am to 2pm at Allington Hill off Hospital Lane.
