Chocolate beetroot slice from Soulshine

The team at Soulshine has brought back Goose and Badger supper clubs, which were started by Joel and Andy as a pop-up last year before they took over the South Street café.

We missed it earlier this month but have heard great things about the sweet treats on offer at Soulshine, so decided to treat ourselves to a chocolate beetroot slice.

Being dairy free, it can be difficult to find a cake or slice, but there were a lot to choose from at Soulshine - so we will be back.

The lovely earthy taste of the beetroot is quite strong and compliments the dark chocolate really well - plus it looks beautiful! It was nice to have a 'healthy' sweet treat.

As well as takeaway bread, pastries, cake and more, Soulshine is also open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Follow Soulshine on Facebook for more information.
