In order to raise some vital funds, St Catherine's Pre-School is encouraging families to plant some sun for '21

The pre-school is holding a sunflower challenge competition this summer.

Kits are available to buy from the pre-school and prizes will be given in three age groups, as well as an overall best display, which could win a family ticket to Paignton Zoo.

If you buy a kit before the end of March, you will be entered into a draw for a bag of Easter goodies donated by Waitrose, but kits will still be available after.

Kits cost £4.50 and include sunflower seeds, compost, pot and label, sponsorship form and entry into the competition. Email [email protected] to arrange collection of your kit.

A spokesman for St Catherine's Pre-school said: "Our aim is to provide an activity for children and adults to flood Facebook with photos of gorgeous sunflowers and raise funds for our pre-school.

"The kits make a great alternative Easter gift."

More information is available here, where donations can also be given.
