It's been announced that non-essential shops can open when England's lockdown ends on December 2, but until then, many in Bridport are using innovative ways to allow people to shop during lockdown.

Window shopping was taken to a new level, with businesses setting up window displays for customers to browse and telephone to arrange payment and collection or delivery.

Rules for the lockdown allowed click and collect for retailers who can't open.

At ink and page, customers choose their items and call to pay and arrange collection from the doorway on Wednesday, Friday or Saturday from 10am to 5pm. There is also free local delivery.

Bridport Lighting Centre is also offering window shopping. Call 01308 422318 or email [email protected] and collect. There is free delivery within five miles of Bridport.

Window shopping can also be done at Opal Dorset on South Street with shop front collection on Wednesday and Saturdays. Customers can also pay online at opaldorset.co.uk

Peach Electrical is also doing something similar. If customers see anything in the window they would like to buy, call 01308 456946 and pay. The item can be collected on Monday, Wednesday or Saturday between 10am and 12noon. Limited delivery on large appliances is also available.
