Bridport Police have advised vehicle owners to do security checks after a theft in the Thorncombe area.
The police said between Thursday 20th and Friday 21st October, another catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle in the Thorncombe area.
They said it is a "national problem" due to the price of precious metals contained inside.
A police spokesperson said: "Thieves will always try to exploit a vehicle in an isolated area. This crime takes seconds and is often done with the use of a grinding tool.
"Please be vigilant and consider your security and contact us if you would like any advice. Please also report any suspicious activity to us, at the time on 101. Call 999 if you believe a crime is in progress."
