Beachside live music events across Jurassic Coast to celebrate King's coronation

The Hive Beach Co will be making the most of the coronation weekend this May, with a programme of live music across all three of its Jurassic Coast venues.

The Hive Beach Cafe in Burton Bradstock, The Watch House Cafe in West Bay and The Club House in West Bexington are looking forward to a celebratory weekend to mark the coronation of His Majesty King Charles III.

Saturday, May 6

After television coverage of the coronation ceremony at Westminster Abbey on the afternoon of Saturday, May 6, celebrations will get underway at The Watch House Cafe in West Bay from 5pm to 7pm, with live music from Bridport singer-songwriter Elijah Wolf, whose songs have been championed by BBC Radio 2, BBC 6 Music and BBC Introducing among others.

Come on down for a party at the beach-side restaurant, with The Watch House's new menu offering Mediterranean-inspired dishes, wood-fired pizzas and celebratory cocktails.

Sunday, May 7

The Hive Beach Cafe in Burton Bradstock will keep the party going on Sunday, May 7 with singer and guitarist Dabs performing in the Top Marquee from 1pm to 3pm, followed by acoustic soul singer and songwriter Ollie Stephens from 5pm to 7pm.

Tuck into a tasty seafood lunch or relax over dinner and drinks right on the beach while enjoying some live music.

Back in West Bay, Luke Hingley will be performing at The Watch House from 5pm to 7pm on Sunday, May 7.

Meanwhile, acclaimed vocalist Julie Dunn will be performing at The Club House in West Bexington from 2pm to 6pm.

You can enjoy her "distinctively rich and smooth vocal style" alongside a delicious Sunday roast at the iconic Art Deco restaurant on the shores of the famous Chesil Beach.
