Beaminster festival will be returning for its 25th year with a week-long festival of music and arts.

A programme of events is being planned for Sunday, June 26 to Sunday, July 3 to celebrate 25 years of the festival and to bring music, literature and arts once again back to Beaminster.

Philip Crawford, chairman of Beaminster Festival, said: "It is wonderful to be able to look forward to a Beaminster Festival this summer. After two years of lockdown, we are hopefully emerging into a more relaxed and safer world.

"Our Artistic Director has arranged an exciting programme of music, literature, theatre and art with something for everyone. We have outdoor theatre, marvellous music in the church including the Carducci Quartet with Emma Johnson, Raphael Wallfisch, cello and the Connaught Brass Quintet. There is an Opera Gala evening, jazz, a folk night at the school and a free family picnic with Ceilidh dancing.

"We hope you'll join us in celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Beaminster Festival."
