From the creators of the first pure milk vodka - a weekend of live performances, musicians spanning a range of genres, DJs, poetry, food and fashion.

Black Cow has announced the return of The Black Cow Saloon and a weekend party hosted on its West Dorset farm neighbouring its distillery.

Guests can expect live performances from the likes of Gaz Mayall and The Trojans, a ska and reggae band with a dash of soul, funk and R&B, indie-rock band Kartoum, eight-piece hunk-a-funk Clusterfunk, and American blues rock musician C.C. Adcock and his band The Lafayette Marquis.

There will be poetry from Murray Lachlan Young, food from Mark Hix and Willie Harcourt-Cooze, and Alice Temperley will host a pop-up selling garments from her luxury fashion house Temperley London.

There will also be a selection of food and drink stalls - including the Black Cow Espresso Martini Sidecar - serving local and seasonal produce.

Black Cow has a deep-rooted history in music. The name Black Cow is inspired by the Steely Dan song and The Black Cow Saloon - the brand's travelling honky-tonk - has been a mainstay at some of the UK's best-loved festivals since debuting at Port Eliot in 2017.

The Black Cow Saloon is inspired by a mash up of ideas - from the nomadic people of the Russian Steppes and their early milk vodka-fuelled adventures and the first cowboys of the American Wild West, to the West Coast bike gangs of the 1960s and the New York punk scene of the 1970s. The Black Cow Saloon is about "creating a raucous, rock 'n' roll sense of abandon; a place for people to lose themselves in the music".

The Black Cow Saloon will take place in Seaborough on the fields where Black Cow ordinarily graze the cows that produce the brand's Pure Milk Vodka.

The event will start at 4pm on Friday September 3 and run until Sunday, September 5.

Weekend tickets cost £75 per person and include camping and are available to buy from the Black Cow website. Luxury glamping accommodation is also available and yurts and tipis of various sizes can be booked directly via Glastonbury-based supplier Heartworks

The Black Cow Saloon will be completely Covid-compliant and ticket holders will be able to roll tickets over to a rescheduled date or receive a full refund in the unlikely event that forced closures mean the event cannot go ahead.
