Bridport artists have come together to help raise money for those affected by the war in Ukraine by donating works for an auction.

Organised by artist Marian Young and helped by staff and customers at The Ropemakers pub, the charity auction will be held on Thursday, April 7 at the West Street pub.

Ahead of the auction at 7pm, there will be an introductory talk and music by Ricky Romain - a local artist who is particularly inspired by the complexity of political conflict surrounding prominent human rights issues - starting at 6pm.

There will be a break in the middle of the auction when Dylan Ross will be reading some of his poems and another musical break.

Art works include pieces from internationally renowned artists Ricky Romain and Gerry Dudgeon as well as a host of other generous people.

Richard Payne-Withers from Bridport Antiques has kindly donated his time as the auctioneer with Mike Dark from Bridport Auction House portering.

After the auction there will be an acoustic performance by a special guest.
