A charity concert in aid of Ukraine has raised more than £1,200.

Bridport Big Band's event at Bridport United Church earlier this month raised £1210 for the Disasters Emergency Committee's Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal.

A spokesman for Bridport Big Band said: "Huge thanks to everyone who came along and supported us, and to the band members who worked hard organising the evening.

"Thanks also to the Bridport United Church who kindly gifted us free use of our rehearsal space for the evening."

The Bridport Big Band will be performing in Bucky Doo Square on April 23.
