A Bridport business has been busy and made more than 10,000 kites for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.

Kites for Schools, based at North Mills Trading Estate, made the kites for schools in the UK to celebrate the occasion. All of them have been made by owners Karen and Godfrey, who also run Bridport Banners.

They have spent endless hours to ensure that the kites are eco-friendly. The kite sails, the double-sided tape, the bamboo, the cardboard used are all eco-friendly and the kite sticks are made of bamboo. The kite kits are suitable for ages five to 12 and all come with detailed assembly instrutions.

Karen and Godfrey are extremely passionate about kites and are only too happy to suggest ideas of how they can be used to create enormous fun for children of all ages - and adults.
