For a second year there will be not be a Bridport Christmas Cheer event, but that doesn't mean the festive spirit won't be felt across the town.

Although the annual evening of Christmas celebrations won't be going ahead, there will still be a lot to do, see and get involved with.

A spokesman said: "Sadly, there will be no Bridport Christmas Cheer, it is just felt that the town and community are still not ready to enjoy a crowded festive event. Instead, we plan to have a whole series of festive activities in the town starting in November."

Here is what's planned so far:

  • Residents can also vote on the best Christmas shop window display. Pick up a form from the TIC by December 18 or email [email protected]
