A greengrocer and butcher have partnered up to make shopping local and supporting independent for your fruit, veg and meat even easier.

Bridget's Market and Rawles butcher, both on East Street, are now offering combined delivery, allowing customers to order their meat, fruit and veg and have it delivered at the same time.

A spokesman for Bridget's Market said: "As part of our growing home delivery service, we will be delivering their [Rawles] fantastic selection of quality meats, as well as our fresh fruits and seasonal vegetables.

"We had customers asking us if we were doing a delivery service with any of the butchers. It was something that we hadn't thought of at that time but we liked the idea, and with Rawles being the closest one to us, we thought we would ask them.

"They also liked the idea so we thought we would give it a go and see what happens."

When ordering meat only from Rawles, there will be a £2 delivery fee - which may increase with large orders - but when ordered with fruit or vegetables from Bridget's, delivery will be free with a minimum spend of £5 at Bridget's.

Customers who would like to pay for their order from Rawles beforehand can do so over the phone by calling 01308 427590, or alternatively, Bridget's will offer payment with cash or card on delivery and through bank transfer.

Call 01308 427096 to place your order with Bridget's or Rawles.
