A date has been set for this year's Melplash Show, with hopes it will be able to go ahead after two years.

Due to coronavirus, the popular agricultural show has not been able to go ahead, but here's hoping the 2022 event can return to the West Bay Showground.

A spokesman for the Melplash Agricultural Society said: "Sadly, we were not able to hold our shows in 2020 and 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic, but we are hoping to be back in 2022. All being well, our 2022 show will be held on Thursday, August 25.

"We cannot thank our members, volunteers, sponsors, traders and exhibitors enough for the kindness and support they have shown to our society during this difficult time. We look forward to seeing you all again in 2022."
