Find out how to make the best of what's left with a live cookery demonstration this Thursday.

As part of Bridport's Big Green Week, local chef and Bridport Local Food Group committee member, Giles Smith, will be creating tasty dishes from ingredients that have been brought to the Bridport Garden Glut and Food Surplus Stall.

Join Giles in St Swithun's Church car park on Thursday, September 23 from 11.30am and watch him prepare and cook, and enjoy a free takeaway.

Peter Wilson, Bridport Local Food Group committee member and the organiser of the garden glut and surplus food stall, said: "Climate change will affect what we eat, when we can get it, and reducing food waste is part of that, so help us to help you."

The Bridport Garden Glut and Food Surplus Stall runs from 9.30a, to 11am every Thursday in St Swithun's Church car park. Food is supplied by local food retailers and supermarkets, as well as local gardeners. It is open to everyone and food is available for free or for a donation.
