Bridport Morrisons Community Champion is very busy this month "spreading joy".

Keira Tait has been busy supporting the community and good causes, and her latest project is 12 acts of kindness which she will be doing throughout December.

Act 1 - Voucher donation to the Clic Sargent house in Bristol - Morrisons' charity partner - and with other community champions across Devon and Somerset donated £400, which will be given to children staying in the house on Christmas day.

Act 2 - movie hamper giveaway with a lucky winner taking home goodies and a voucher to buy a film.

Act 3 - Showing support to local independent businesses. Kiera gave out muffins and complimentary coffee card to small traders, which was really well received.

Act 4 - three local schools will receive a hamper of treats and a Christmas quiz to complete with one of their classes.

Act 5 - regular customers who have received Morrisons deliveries recently will receive a treat with their next order, delivered by Nick, Morrisons' 'doorstep delivery man'.

Act 6 - Hampers of mince pies.

Keira said: "I ran a giveaway through my Facebook page, asking for votes for six local care homes and the response was amazing, it hit several thousand likes and comments.

"This prompted a donation from a local businessman, Pete, from Sunglasses for Me, putting up £30 to ensure all six care homes will receive a mince pie and biscuit hamper."

Act 7 - Keira has purchased several Christmas plants and will leave them around benches within Bridport.

Act 8 - Treats and hot drinks will be going to local services - fire, police and not forgetting the postmen.

Act 9 - Lucky cups - a simple game where everyone is a winner, whether it's a chocolate Santa or a £5 gift voucher. Kiera will select customers at random.

Act 10 - Leaving bars of chocolate, Christmas tree sweets and some teddies on customers' cars while they shop.

Act 11 - The top three care homes that got voted for in the mince pie giveaway will also receive a treats hamper, along with a Christmas quiz for the residents to take part in.

Act 12 - Find the gonk - hidden throughout the store will be little knitted gonks and the customer can exchange them for a prize.

Keira said: "I have had great fun thinking of the random acts as Morrisons left it to each champion to decide what they wanted to do. Every store is completing these acts and it has been great to follow what other people have been doing in their communities.

"Alongside the 12 acts, I have also been busy spreading more joy. I have delivered 96 selection boxes to Mountjoy School, I have also delivered toys and treats to St Andrews and Bradpole Pre-school and I made up 35 boxes and took them to Bridport Primary School to help families in need over Christmas, to name but a few things."
