A Bridport restaurant has a number of events lined up - including a fundraiser for Ukraine - now that it is able to open seven days a week.

Soulshine in South Street, run by Joel Gosling and Andy Tyrrell, has had additional opening hours approved by Dorset Council as a temporary 12 month measure.

It means the restaurant will be open from 7am to 11pm Monday to Saturday and 9am to 4pm on Sunday. However, the rear courtyard will close at 10pm.

And the team is looking forward to hosting supper clubs, wine tastings, and collaborations with chefs.

On March 29, Soulshine will host Cook for Ukraine to help raise funds to aid children and families who have been displaced by the current situation. Inspired by the flavours of Ukraine, Andy has created a meal using local, seasonal produce to cook up a feast of Borscht and dumplings. There are sittings at 5.30pm and 7.30pm and 100 per cent of the ticket price will be going to those in need.

The popular Soulshine Supper Clubs return on March 25 and April 8 with seasonal dishes. A five-course menu will start with nibbles and small plates, followed by mains, dessert and sweets.

April 6 and May 17 will see the return of the wine tasting nights with Selected Grapes. Enjoy a range of wines paired with dishes from Andy.

Joel said: "Being more open is a great thing. We've got loads of delicious food to share and fun times to have and now we're able to do more of it.

"We look forward to seeing everyone, now seven days a week."
