The Bridport and Lyme Regis branch of the Royal Air Forces Association has been recognised for its fundraising efforts to support veterans.

Branch chairman Bill Davies recently received a certificate from South West Area Councillor of the Royal Air Forces Association, John Tomlin, after raising more than £2,000 during 2022.

Mr Davies said: "As a nation, we owe an immeasurable debt of gratitude to the RAF and their families.

"Join the RAF Association as a member today, and you'll stand united in support of everyone in the RAF community who needs our support, now and always.

"Our Association is open to anyone who shares the values of service, loyalty and comradeship. Whether you are currently serving in the RAF, a veteran, a family member or someone who wants to do your bit to help, you are welcome to join this unique and inspiring community."

RAFA monthly meetings are held at The George Hotel in South Street, Bridport, at 6pm every second Thursday of the month. For further information, contact Bill Davies on 01308 281200.
