The full, star-studded cast has been revealed for the upcoming movie 'Wonka', which will be partially filmed in Lyme Regis.
Warner Bros and the Roald Dahl Story Co's production of 'Wonka' is set to be filmed at the town's historic Cobb harbour this month.
It was previously announced that Oscar-nominated actor Timothée Chalamet, known for his roles in 'The King', 'Little Women' and upcoming release 'Dune', would play the iconic inventor Willy Wonka in this new adaptation, based on the character created by Roald Dahl for his novel 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory'.
The full, star-studded cast has now been announced, including high-profile names such as Oscar-winner Olivia Coleman of 'The Favourite', 'The Crown' and West Dorset-based drama 'Broadchurch', as well as Mr Bean himself, Rowan Atkinson, also known for the 'Johnny English' films.
Comedian Matt Lucas of 'Little Britain' and 'The Great British Bake Off' is also among the line-up, along with Jim Carter who played Mr Bates in 'Downton Abbey', and Oscar winner Sally Hawkins of 'The Shape of Water' and 'Made in Dagenham'.
It is not known which actors will be filming scenes in Lyme Regis.
The film will be directed by Paul King, known for the 'Paddington' movies, and produced by David Heyman of the 'Harry Potter' franchise.
The story will focus on a young Willy Wonka and his adventures prior to opening his famous chocolate factory, based in 19th century Britain during the Industrial Revolution.
The movie will include several musical numbers and it is reported that scenes to be filmed at the Cobb will include a spectacular snow scene.
Filming will take place around Lyme Regis' historic Cobb harbour on October 11 and 12, following rehearsals on October 9.
Major set props such as the 1930s steam drifter 'Lydia Eva' - which was moored at West Bay - are already in place, with set dressing to get underway from Monday, October 4.
Lyme Regis Town Council has confirmed that public access to the Cobb will be restricted during filming, although full access will be maintained while the set is being dressed.
