Three crews were called to a fire at a business in Bridport this morning (Tuesday).

Engines from Bridport and Charmouth attended the fire at St Michael's Trading Estate at 8.20am.

A spokesman for Bridport Fire Station said: "On arrival, staff had managed to extinguish the fire with a CO2 extinguisher and evacuated the building.

"Crews ensured the scene was safe and found the cause of the fire to be a faulty consumer unit.

"Weston Power was requested to attend to isolate the electricity to the property."
