Three fire crews, including Bridport, were called to a 79-year-old man who had fallen down a steep bank.

A level 2 rope rescue team from Colyton and a tech rescue from Weymouth joined Bridport at Seatown where the man was laying in a stream.

A spokesman for Bridport Fire Station said: "Crews used working at height gear and a nine metre ladder to access the casualty and provide initial casualty care for a shoulder injury and suspected hypothermia.

"Once the casualty was rescued, they were passed on to the ambulance service for onwards care."
