You may have heard about the COP26 UN climate conference happening in November, or you may have not heard about it at all, but here's how you can find out more about it.

Kit Vaughan, senior climate advisor at Save the Children, and Raja Jarrah, climate change consultant, have been to a number of climate conferences between them.

In a meeting, 'Fair COP or COP-out', they will talk about how the climate conferences work in general and what issues should come up for COP26 in particular.

Kit and Raja will explain the terms used in any agreement, and help the audience judge for themselves how well COP26 rises to the challenges facing us now.

The meeting will be on Thursday, October 7 at 7pm in the WI Hall, North Street. Those attending are asked to wear a mask until seated and wrap up warm - the hall will be fully ventilated.

The event is free but contributions are welcome to cover costs. The meeting is organised by Transition Town Bridport.
