Predominantly cloudy skies for much of the day, with occasional rain. Most of this will be fairly light and patchy, but some heavier bursts are possible close to English Channel coasts. Maximum temperature 17 °C.

Showery outbreaks of rain continue through the evening and overnight, but equally some clear spells should also develop. The odd fog patch is also possible in sheltered areas. Minimum temperature 10 °C.

Saturday:

Saturday will be a day of sunny spells and blustery showers, these most frequent and heaviest further to the west. Still quite warm in any sunshine. Maximum temperature 17 °C.

Outlook for Sunday:

Rain and strengthening winds will soon move in from the southwest on Sunday, though some eastern areas possibly staying dry until later.
