A proposal by Chideock resident Winston Maskell is gaining support, with businesses and residents encouraged to show their support in an email to help the case when plans are put before Dorset Council.

The third commercial tenant of the building has been identified, joining Crowdfunder and 3DCentre.

3. Councillors vote to propose merger of councils to Dorset Council

Bridport town councillors have voted to submit proposals to merge four parish councils to create one single council. This includes Bridport, Bothenhampton and Walditch, Bradpole and Allington.

4. Nurse blasts The Daily Mail for 'inciting hate against GP staff

A nurse practitioner at Barton House Medical Centre in Beaminster has written to The Daily mail, expressing her anger at its reporting of the issue surrounding face-to-face appointments with GPs.

5. Bridport parkrun to mark 50 events - but it needs more volunteers

The hugely popular Bridport parkrun will soon be hosting its 50th run. But it needs more volunteers to ensure it goes ahead.
