There was a brilliant turn out to watch Martin Clunes officially switch on the Christmas lights at a home in Bradpole.

The Doc Martin star was the guest of honour at the annual charity lights at 2 White Close, which were raising money for Kelly Heath's Weldmar Hospicecare's safari trek next year.

The lights, at Monica and Rob Teague's home, will be up until January and there is a collection for Weldmar in the garden.

Before the countdown for the lights switch on, mr Clunes said: 'thank you for coming and supporting weldmar and these lovely people.'

Visitors were able to enjoy mince pies, sausage roll and mulled wine, as well as snow at the spectacular display at meet Father Christmas.
