Children will have the opportunity this week to pick up some Christmas presents for their loved ones.

The team at the Cancer Research UK charity shop in Bridport is holding two special sales for children to buy a present for someone in their family.

All presents will cost £1 and volunteers will wrap the present for them.

A spokesman for Bridport's Cancer Research UK charity shop said: "We did it last year and everyone loved it.

"One of our volunteers gave us the idea, taken from her niece wo runs a charity in Cornwall.

"We had planned to do it for Mother's Day, but obviously it couldn't go ahead.

"We are raising funds for [research into] children and teenagers' cancer, which is an annual fundraising drive we have."

The sales will be on Wednesday, December 9 from 4pm to 6.30pm and Saturday, December 12 from 10am to 12.30pm.
