A charity Christmas lights display raised more than £280 to help those with dementia in Bridport.

Rob and Monica Teague's annual display at their home at 2 White Close, Bradpole, raises funds for charity each year and last Christmas it was in aid of Dementia Friendly Bridport.

The coronavirus pandemic meant they could not host the public light up night they usually do, which brings in around £250 in donations, but they still managed to raise £287.

The display illuminated the street and also featured a snow machine.

Monica and Rob Teague said: "We would like to say a big thank you to all who kindly donated for this great cause, especially to the children who told us they had given their pocket money.

"Not only did our illuminations help the Bridport people with dementia, but also it would seem raised the spirits of everyone who came to see them, especially the children when we produced the snow showers.

"Let us hope that next Christmas we can have our annual open evening with Santa doing the switch on."
