Christmas toys and treats were given away at the weekly Garden Glut & Food Surplus Stall at St Swithun's Church in North Allington, Bridport, last week.

A bumper selection of toys, kindly donated by Bridport residents, were available alongside thee stall's usual selection of food stuffs, available for free or for a donation going towards the upkeep of the hall.

The church also laid on hot drinks and cakes in the Church Hall, for those who wanted something to keep them going.

Peter Wilson, Bridport Local Food Group, who manages the weekly stall, said: "Although a very cold morning, it did not deter people from visiting the stall, and lots went away with some good finds for their children."

The Garden Glut & Food Surplus stall is held in St Swithun's Church car park every Thursday from 9.30a to 11am and is open to everyone.

More toys and Christmas goodies will be available at this week's stall on Thursday, December 21.
