Closing down sale signs in Peacocks, Bridport

Closing down sale signs have been put up in Peacocks' windows in East Street, Bridport.

It was announced last week that Edinburgh Woollen Mill, which owns Peacocks, is at risk of closure as the company lodged a notice of intention to appoint administrators to look for potential buyers.

FRP Advisory is carrying out an urgent review before further action is taken, however, it seems the Bridport store is destined for closure as signs are already in its windows.

The manager at the Bridport store was unable to comment on the closure and how many people are currently working at the store who would be at risk of losing their jobs.

Peacocks and Edinburgh Woollen Mill have been contacted for comment.
