Bridport Leisure Centre have launched a community-sponsored swim to help raise funds for their swimming pool improvements.

The centre needs to raise a total of £30,000 to regrout the pool and is hoping the community will get behind this week-long event.

From Sunday 20th to Saturday 26th November the team at Bridport Leisure Centre will be recording all lengths swam, and aim to achieve a combined total of 30,000 lengths.

Will Thrower Centre Manager said: "We have lots of events planned throughout a week-long fundraising effort, BLC Week. Whether you are a regular or occasional swimmer at Bridport Leisure Centre, we hope that you will join us and take part in the community-sponsored swim."

BLC Week runs from Sunday 20th November to Saturday 26th November 2022.

Will added: "Our team are busy organizing a whole host of events which include gymnastics, trampolining and dance sessions. There will be lots of pool-based fun too including Aqua Quidditch, aqua fit and pool fun and inflatable sessions. Plus, bingo and an all-day coffee morning. All sessions will soon be available to book for a donation to the fund."

Sponsor forms for the community-sponsored swim are available at Bridport Leisure Centre or can be downloaded from their website.
