Children aged five to 11 are now eligible to receive the Covid-19 vaccine.
Following the launch of spring boosters for the most at risk people in our communities, a first dose is now also available for all 5-11 year olds with a second dose recommended several weeks later.
Parents can book an appointment for their children via the NHS National Booking System at nhs.uk or by calling 119.
The 75 plus age group, those who are immunosuppressed and older adults living in care homes can also success their spring booster. Almost 12,000 people have had this booster since it was made available around two weeks ago.
Prof Dawn Dawson, director of nursing, therapies and quality at Dorset HealthCare, said: "Most people in our communities, whatever their age, are now eligible for the vaccination and we'd encourage everyone to come forward for the doses they're entitled to.
"Cases of the virus are high, particularly in the south west, so it's even more important that people get themselves protected and avoid serious illness.
"We have sites delivering the vaccine all-round the county, with more being planned soon, so from your first dose right through to your second booster it's not too late to book in and protect yourself and others."
There are currently 29 sites offering vaccinations around the county, with additional pop-ups being planned in some areas soon. There is a large vaccination centre in Dorchester, as well as Bournemouth, with some community pharmacies and some GP services also providing vaccinations.
