How the development at Bridport is expected to look

Ahead of its new Gordon Court retirement development nearing competition in Bridport, developers McCarthy Stone is looking for local charities to support.

It wants to support a worthy neighbourhood project, charity or one-off event within the Bridport community.

Nicki Beswarick, divisional marketing manager for McCarthy Stone Southern, said: "It is very important when creating a new development that we actively look to integrate into the local community.

"Our charity appeal in Bridport allows us to create important ties with local groups and neighbourhood projects, helping us all to build a positive legacy together.

"This is particularly important at a time when we begin to emerge from the restrictions that will have hampered charities' efforts to raise much-needed funds.

"We encourage any local groups who are interested to get in touch now."

Local groups and charities are urged to get in touch as soon as possible by emailing requests to [email protected] by May 28, 2021. Mark emails 'Bridport Community Appeal' in the subject header.

Apartments in the new Gordon Court development are expected to be available for off-plan sales in early 2022, with the first occupants expected to move in in summer 2022. There will be a range of one and two-bedroom apartments for those aged 60 and over.
