Bridport Leisure Centre has added a new green initiative to its facilities.

A 2-point rapid electric vehicle charging station has been installed in the centre's car park.

It will not only be available for centre users, but also to the public who may be shopping locally or using other facilities nearby.

The charging station, supplied by InstaVolt, delivers rapid charging and all of the electricity supplied comes from 100 per cent renewable energy sources, such as solar or wind farms. This means you will be back on the road quicker and you can be sure you're doing the best you can for the environment.

Centre manager William Thrower said: "We are pleased to offer centre users and residents of Bridport the facility to charge their electric vehicle when using the centre, or using other valued local services."
