Nothing says Christmas quite like making your own wreath.

Enjoy a glass of mulled wine and get creative with the Friends of Symondsbury School at their annual Christmas wreath making workshop on December 1 from 7pm.

A spokesman said: "Gather your gang and if you're coming alone, don't worry, there will be the usual warm spirit of Symondsbury Friends to welcome you in.

"There will be full instruction from our experts, but don't feel constrained, we encourage you to unleash your individual style and to have fun. Do bring any items you might wish to include on your wreath, be as creative as you want to be.

"There will be a reasonably priced bar with prosecco, mulled wine and soft drinks, mountains of mince pies and, of course, no school event would really be complete without the excitement of a raffle, so bring your pennies for maximum fun.

"All profits will go towards enhancing the education and enrichment of the children at Symondsbury Primary School. Particularly this year we want to raise money to improve the outdoor facilities, so please get involved."

Included will be a wreath pack containing a wreath ring, moss, twine, pins and ribbon, a bunch of conifer for the base layer, extra foliage for the top layer and special festive decorations.
