Five West Dorset restaurants are featured in the 2021 Michelin Guide.

Ollerod and Brassica, both in Beaminster, Dorshi in Bridport, the Seaside Boarding House in Burton Bradstock and the Club House in West Bexington are included.

Dorshi

The guide says: "A bohemian-style restaurant with a laid-back feel: the ground floor is lively while upstairs it's more intimate.

"Asian street food inspired small plates are perfect for sharing and their flavours pack a punch; the dumplings are a highlight. Cocktails are creative and at weekends there's a house party vibe."

Seaside Boarding House

The guide says: "Stunningly located on the clifftop, this old hotel has a fresh new look.

"The airy restaurant has a subtle maritime theme and there's a lovely terrace with sea views.

"Menus have a local seafood bias and you can pop in for breakfast or afternoon tea too.

"Bedrooms are classically understated."

Club House

The guide says: "When the sun's out, head for the terrace of this warm, welcoming restaurant, which sits in a superb location above Chesil Beach.

"Inside, old nautical artefacts contrast with contemporary décor.

"Unfussy modern dishes showcase fish and shellfish from the local day boats."

Ollerod

The guide says: "Set within a hotel, Ollerod has a relaxed, friendly air and offers plenty of choice: eat in the bar, the dining room, the garden or on the terrace.

"Alongside an a la carte is a menu of small plates; cooking is accomplished and makes good use of produce from the South West."

Brassica

The guide says: "A pretty 16C house on a small town square plays host to this friendly, laid-back restaurant (sister to the homeware shop opposite).

"Constantly evolving menus list hearty dishes with punchy flavours and a refined edge; produce is from within 15 miles but influences come from the Med."
