With the school summer holidays nearly here, there is a whole host of family fun at Highland's End in Eype to fill the six weeks.

The kids will be kept entertained with a range of activities, from pitch 'n' putt, soft play, outdoor play area, arcade games, pool tables, live music and parties.

Shepherd's Down Pitch 'N' Putt

It's open daily between March to October and features a nine-hole course over seven acres - with fantastic views over West Dorset, West Bay and Bridport. There's no need to book and you can hire clubs, putter and balls from the park shop.

The Little Fire Station Soft Play

Also open daily, from 9am to 6pm, the soft play gives children aged six or under 70 square metres to play, explore and have fun. It is included free of charge with every children's meal purchased between 4pm and 6pm at Martin's Bar and Restaurant and loyalty cards are also available.

And for the older children, there is an outdoor play area in the beer garden, as well as a range of board games, pool tables, arcade games and live BT sport.

The park has also introduced a new boules pitch. You can bring your own set or buy one from the on-site SPAR shop.

And not forgetting the renowned and unique fire engine memorabilia display - one of England's largest and most important private collections.

As well as all this, a number of events will be taking place over the summer. There's live music on Fridays, a kids' beach party, jungle safari party a pirates, princesses and superheroes party and, for the adults, a Thatchers cider day.

You can see all the upcoming events here.

So why not pop down and enjoy a roast on the coast on Sunday, a curry on Tuesday night or pizza on Mondays after a day of fun at Highlands End - the restaurant is also dog friendly.

Highlands End is also perfectly placed for walkers - being so close to the coast path and also on the route for the West Dorset Three Peaks Challenge.
