Children of Bridport have raised more than £1,100 for charity by help Santa find his lost items at Groves Nurseries.

In the lead up to Christmas, children helped Santa on his quest to find his things before delivering presents.

Charlie Groves, of Groves Nurseries, said: "Santa was very happy with all their efforts and was so glad to be able to visit all of the children as planned.

"I would also like to thank Watershed PR who donated their fee for helping with the technical side of things for the videos for Santa's quest and broadcasting Santa live on Facebook directly from the North Pole.

"Not only did the children of Bridport hopefully enjoy taking part in the trail, but the money raised will go to the Dorset Children's Foundation."

A total of £1,140 was raised by generous and helpful children.

Victoria Churchill took her son and niece, Freddie and Maisie, to do the trail and they both really enjoyed it.

She said: "They were both desperate to see Santa and with things being the way they were, I was worried I wouldn't be able to take them anywhere, so this was fantastic. They also posted their letters too and received a letter back from Santa. which was great."

Patsy Hallmey, of Dorset Children's Foundation, said: "We are just beyond delighted that Groves Nurseries raised such an amazing amount for the Dorset Children's Foundation.

"It's been a very hard year for everyone, but as a charity all our fundraising has been cancelled so it's especially wonderful that a local company has the heart to care and support our work.

"It's so lovely that Watershed PR donated their fee too, we are feeling very humbled by everyone's generosity."
