An ice cream kiosk is offering some delicious winter warmers to walkers and visitors.

Baboo Gelato at West Bay has a range of treats to warm you up after a walk on the beach this winter.

Enjoy a hot croffle with gelato, whipped cream and sauce, Italian pastries from Mercato Italiano, special hot chocolates, affogatos – a scoop of Baboo gelato with a shot of either Conker Cold Brew Coffee Liqueur, Amaretto or Dorset Nectar apple syrup.

Annie Hanbury of Baboo Gelato said: "The idea is that people don't generally eat – or they don't think they can eat – that much ice cream in the winter. I think it's about being warmly dressed. If you're dressed warmly, you're very happy to eat an ice cream. After Christmas when they are fully wrapped up, they think, 'it's warm enough to have an ice crem'.

"The idea is to keep the kiosk going throughout the winter. It's for people to warm themselves up after a walk on the beach."

The winter warmers are currently only being offered at Baboo's West Bay kiosk but the team will see how it goes and may offer it at Lyme Regis. The kiosks at Weymouth and Felicity's Farm Shop are closed for the winter.

The West Bay kiosk is currently open daily from 10am to 5pm, but this could change so keep an eye on Baboo Gelato's social media pages for updates.
