New planning applications in the Bridport area include a request for a swimming pool and pool house at a home in Burton Bradstock.

Recent applications received by Dorset Council in the area include –

Appletree Thatch, Main Road, Chideock, install gas supply, central heating and associated works;

47 Burton Road, Bridport, detached garage;

The Rookery, Church Street, Burton Bradstock, renovation of existing flat in the Coach House, 15x4m swimming pool, pool house and terrace;

47 West Street, Bridport, removal of storm-damaged chimney stack on rear extension;

5 Fleet Street, Beaminster, orangery on rear elevation; Befferlands Farm, Berne Lane, Charmouth, agricultural barn;

5 Bilberry Close, Chideock, raise height of flat roof to front of property to include rooflights and windows;

8 Coneygar Lane, Bridport, extensions and alterations to include a 1.5 storey side extension;

Miles Cross, West Road, Bridport, extension to camp site;

14 Lower Townsend, Burton Bradstock, single storey extension, detached garage and alterations to porch;

3 Gardenside, Charmouth, install dormer windows, velux window, alterations to existing dormers to include Juliet balcony.
