It's magical when children can look up to the sky just before Christmas and see Father Christmas fly across on a mission to deliver presents.

But it will be very early on Christmas Eve this year.

The International Space Station will be passing over the UK, briefly at 6.02am, but is thought to be best seen in Dorset at around 6.15am.

He can also be seen at around 7.03am on Christmas Day, heading back to the North Pole.

Sightings are possible from now until Tuesday, December 29 and times can be found on Nasa's Spot the Station website.
