The family team behind the acclaimed Hive Beach Cafe in Burton Bradstock have now opened two holiday cottages in the village – the perfect getaway on the Jurassic Coast.

The idyllic 16th century thatched cottages boast quaint, historic features mixed with modern, high-standard finishes.

Based in Donkey Lane, in the oldest part of Burton Bradstock, they are in a prime location for beach days and use of other village amenities, as well providing the perfect base to explore West Dorset and the Jurassic Coast.

Number 60 Donkey Lane sleeps up to three guests with one double and one single room.

It features an inglenook fireplace with gas wood burner for those cosy evenings in, a fully-fitted kitchen with complimentary coffee pods, washing machine and dishwasher.

A modern family shower room is located upstairs and there is a downstairs cloakroom.

With two double bedrooms and one single bedroom, Number 61 Donkey Lane sleeps up to five guests.

Visitors will be welcomed into a hallway featuring the original 16th century wall and which opens up to a double height space.

Off the hallway are the lounge and dining area, again featuring a large inglenook fireplace with a log burner, a downstairs cloakroom and a fully-fitted kitchen with a gas top electric oven Aga.

Both bedrooms can be found upstairs, along with a family bathroom with roll-top bathtub.

Both the cottages have enclosed cottage gardens and a complimentary bottle of fizz awaits visitors on arrival.

Just a short 10 minute walk away is the highly-acclaimed Hive Beach Café, serving fresh, local seafood and scrumptious cakes right on the beachfront.

Booking either of the cottages entitles you to a 10% discount at Hive Beach Café or its sister restaurants, the Watch House Café in West Bay, and The Club House restaurant in West Bexington.
