Bridport Fire Station hosted its annual open day for the first time since the covid pandemic.

On Saturday (3rd) visitors could enjoy a look around the station, fire engine tours, and an abseiling display, among many other activities.

Following the event, the fire station stated that people were out in their numbers as soon as the doors opened.

Dorset Police and West Bay Coastguard Rescue Team also attended to show their support.

The event is a chance for the station to engage with the local community and other emergency services whilst having a bit of fun and raising money for the Fire Fighters Charity. Bridport Fire Station hasn't got a total for the donations yet but expects it to be "one of the best".

The fire station posted on social media: "A huge thank you from all of us Bridport Fire Station to everyone that came down to help us raise money for The Fire Fighters Charity. Without your support, it wouldn't be possible."
