A major rockfall at West Bay has cut off access to part of the beach.

The rockfall on this popular stretch of the Jurassic Coast was reported on the afternoon of Wednesday, January 18 after a period of heavy rain and cold temperatures.

The fall has cut off access to East Beach, with no access to Burton Bradstock from West Bay and vice versa.

Dorset Council said it was investigating access to the coastal path and asked people to stay away from the cliff base and edge.
