Celebrations to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee continued across Bridport yesterday (Saturday), with even more set to take place today.
The weather stayed fine and people came out in red, white and blue to enjoy picnics, street parties and barbecues.
There was a great atmosphere at Bradpole’s Jubilee party on Gore Cross Recreation Area, with crown making, music and the commemoration of two trees planted for the jubilee. Each visitor was given a Union Jack flag and hat to get into the party mood.
West Bay Days’ Pirate Day was also taking place, with an range of games for children to enjoy outside the Salt House, teas, cakes and entertainment, as well as live music on the mound which went on into the evening before a fireworks display.
It was another day of community spirit and people coming together to enjoy the celebratory atmosphere. See more photos on our Facebook page.
