Groves Nurseries is encouraging children to get involved with gardening by taking part in National Children's Gardening Week.

Run by the National Horticultural Society, the children's gardening week is designed to capture children's enthusiasm for gardening by suggesting projects where children get to see quick results and have some fun in the process.

Groves Nurseries has a whole range of tools and toys specially designed to help encourage children with their first experiences in gardening but they have also put together three kits that contain everything you need for quick and easy projects.

These include 'grow your own hairy caterpillar', 'paint your own rock bug' and 'grow your own sunflower'. Each kit contains a full set of instructions and everything needed to complete the project. You can even head over to grovesnurseries.co.uk to watch a step by step video about how to complete the project.

The kits can be purchased from Groves Nurseries in Bridport,

Little Groves in Beaminster and at grovesnurseries.co.uk

National Children's Gardening Week runs from May 29 until June 5.
