An author has published a second edition of his popular history book detailing memories of a west Dorset village.
Bernard Paull released Loders Back Along in November last year after giving numerous displays, 'Loders - A Trip Down Memory Lane', and gathered a collection of people's photos and information.
The book is in two parts and one covers the years just after the Second World War based on Bernard's own personal recollections and those of a few others, recalling life in the village in the late 1940s and 1950s. The second part looks at the period from the late 1800s to just after the end of the Second World War.
"The second edition is an update on the first edition. It has 12 extra pages, including an index of names, the memories of a wartime evacuee, a few extra pictures, some of the questions posed in the first edition are now answered, more names added and a few corrections and amendments.
"Plus, all that's in the first edition - schoolboy memories from the 1950s and pictures from even earlier.
"Now 172 pages and over 250 photographs of people, places and events in Loders between about 1900 and 1960."
The book still costs £10 and is available from Groves Nurseries, Bradpole Post Office and Cilla and Camilla in Bridport.
