The Mayor of Bridport has officially opened a new-look garden area at Bridport Connect day centre.

Bridport Connect, part of Care Dorset, opened its new garden area at the day centre in St Andrew's Road at a summer festival last week, with Cllr Dave Bolwell cutting the ribbon.

The day centre offers guests, families and carers and offer a wide range of activities both indoor and outdoor when possible.

Cllr Bolwell commented: "The mental and physical benefits of being outdoors and in the fresh air are well known and I have no doubt that the new garden area that will be supporting their outdoor growing space will prove to be an asset."
